How to handle the issue of inverter not been detected by Datalogger

1. Purpose:

After completing the power plant setup and configuring the Datalogger’s (hopePowerBox/hopeComBox) WiFi network, if the hopeCloud shows that the inverter has not been detected, this document will guide you through the process of checking and resolving the issue.

2. Issue description:

This hopeCloud displays no inverter detected.

3. Possible root cause of the issue:

3.1 Software version of the Datalogger is not the latest.

3.2 RS485 cable connection is incorrect.

3.3 Datalogger Baud rate setting of port2/3 is incorrect.

Note: Ports to be used according to reality connection

4. Checking steps and solution:

4.1  Datalogger software version should be 102.015.000 or higher; If not, update the software.

4.2 If the issue persists, verify the RS485 cable connection by referring to the installation manual.

4.3 If the issue persists, check the “Parameter settings” of the Datalogger, find the “Device topology information” and select “Port2/3 Baud rate”, set it to Baud rate “1-9600”.
Note: You can also set this to 115200 or another baud rate as long as all inverters in the same set of strings have the same baud rate.
